Teardrop is radiological features at medial aspect of acetabulam and formed by confluence of bony outlines. It is important for many things like inter-teardrop line to mesure shortening etc.
Gothic arch represents bony feature resembling gothic arches of old churches.
These are described in hip at supra-cetabular region and at shoulder ( see figure 2 and 3 below)
Pedestal, on the other hand is seen after total hip replacement and below the tip of femoral implant. It is characterised by localised radiopaque bony changes within radiolucent area and denotes loosening and pistoning of femoral component.
